No, it can work in D3D games, too. Radeon 8500 owners have this options for all games (in the settings for their card), like FSAA. |

True. I've been running DAoC and Gothic with 16x AF and 2xAA. I can't believe the improvement in image quality (and speed too, of course) over my old GF2! ATI's AF gives almost no performance hit (NVidia's implementation *chugs*), and their AA doesn't blur textures the way NVidia's does (although it's slower than NVidia's). DVD playback is awesome. The 8500 is the coolest upgrade I've done since I ditched my Voodoo for a TNT. |
