*SPOILER* Weapon enchantments |
|
I was wondering if anybody knows any lists showing the different weapon/ingredient combinations to create those special weapons?
It would be nice to know what to look for, atleast the +1 katana / adamantium and +1 longsword / diamond - weapons with ranger dual wielding kick serious evil butt _________________ "If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance."

You can get a book from the smith with details on what's needed for each special weapon/armor. I think it's currently bugged, though. I had him make an enhanced short sword, but it wont let me make anything after that. I have ingredients for a lot more items too. |

I assume you meet these smiths a bit later in the game (I'm still wandering around in Chp 1)? _________________ *gniltrohc yawa srednaw* |

Meeting the Dwarven Smith |
|
The Dwarven Smith is at the back of the armoury (forget what it's called) in the City Core right at the beginning.
You have to talk to the owner a bit who then mentions that he will allow you access to the back.
This did not happen for me at the begining, but after I had cleared/done the prison quest, I spent all my points on PERSUASION.
I am an Elven Wiz, I had no PERS so I spent all 6 points and raised it to 3.
It costs 2 points per "point" as it isnt one of my class abilities.
Raising PERSUASION is VERY IMPORTANT as I am now talking to the guys I spoke to previously (B4 the prison quest) and I am getting more side quests and more info in general.
Now its at 3, I am not sure how much use it would be to raise it higher, but it does make a hell of a difference.
I am an Elf Mage, I had Tomi Undergallows as sidekick for the Prison bit (great for traps and chests). Now I've done that I am off into the Beggars Nest (Zombie Country), so I have left him behind and taken the Monk Henchman. Hopefully he will be dealing out stuff to help with the zombies.
Great Game. Just what I have been waiting for.
Morrowind and Dungeon Siege can sit on the shelf now for about 2 years.
Regards,

Ah. Never got the book. I'm in chapter 2 now, so it doesn't make a difference anymore. I hear there's a new smithy in ch. 3. Gotta love my dual-wielding ranger now, he's one mean hacking machine with those two swords I created in ch 1. Improved dual wielding a weapon specialization in long sword goes a long way
Tomi is my sidekick also, and will probably be for the whole game. I somehow like him, although our alignments and moral code do sometimes clash. He's just too valuable with his bow and lockpicking skills. I also enjoy his stories _________________ "If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance."
