Gothic was so realistic that even my dad, a nongamer, looked at it! That was the first time he watched me playing a game! This shows how great Gothic is.

Do you go right? Or do you go left? A simple decision, yes? No ambiguities. Only the dream of the path not taken! And so one might stand in this place and contemplate for a long while. What will I miss if I go left? What will I lose if I go right? And in my indecision, have I chosen a worse fate?

Where do I gets the informations froms?

Gotchic2 uses 1024x1024 textures and Environment bumpmapping - with a light source (I don't think it's T&L).

I gets this informations froms lookings at its.

Me knows me stuffs.

There's only one other game that uses textures as high has Gotchic2, which is SoF2 (makes a big difference as well).

I know a great company in the UK who do game localisation (multimedia).

They were responsible for localising FinalFantasy 7 for the UK, for the PS2.

They are:

SDL International
www.sdlintl.com

Contact: Mark Hodgson (Key Accounts Management)

Please don't mention me in this.
I just know the company through friends.
They're a great company.
(in my opinion)

hello xiphos,
we are using 512 textures, and currenty do not use bump map (and i dont
think we'll do so in future)
but you are right, some of the effects on the screenshots look like bump map.
that is because we are using real photographs, we are taking by our own, for the textures. sometimes the shadows on the photos we do, are really nice, so its looking very three-dimensional.

the citywall, for example, was a wall of a church, i happened to see on my
way to work.
when i took the photos there, the sun came out, so the shadows were very
strong.
thats why the city wall looks bump mapped

cu
