Joining swamp camp instead of mercenary camp? Possible spoil |
|
This is the second time I'm playing through Gothic, I went with Old Camp but I read somewhere that after the Old Camp "changes" you can join join swamp camp instead of going with the regular route of mercenaries/water mages? Is this true?
How? |

That's right SouHai,
You can join any of the 3 camps, after the the task done in the second visit to the old mine. If you join the sect camp, you will have to renounce the 3 gods, Innos, Adanos and Beliar, an aspect of the gothic game which is not fully realised. _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |

Wulf he meant, after you joined the Old Camp and then you get cast out.
Is it possible to join the Sect Loonies instead of the Mercenaries?
BTW: I don't think so, but it might be possible. |

Sorry for the delay SouHai, i was trying-out something for you with an old savegame.
It dont think it is possible to join the sect camp after being banned from the old camp because after satifying the 4 baals quests to become a novice, you would have to talk with Cor kalom to be allowed to join, but we know he has ran-off with his fanatics to the sleepers temple, and all dialogues have been removed because he as changed his character to Mad-Cor kalom, and in any case, it goes against the natural progressive storyline. Strangely Cor Angar's dialogue stays open, as if you could join? -There is more about the new camp if you want but it goes much deeper and is often overlooked by many gothic players. _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |

If you join the Sect Camp you stick with'em to the very end.
If you join the Old Camp and become a Guard, you will then join the New Camp later on.
If you join the Old Camp and become a Magician, you will then join the New Camp later on, and then after that you will join Xardas as a Necromancer(this happens when he teaches you Circle 6).
If you join the New Camp you have to become a Mercenary, and then get a choice to become a Magician later on. If you do, you can choose the path of the Necromancer after that.
You can also go through the game "guildless" if you join the Old Camp, get kicked, and don't sign up with the New Camp afterwards.
Those are all the guild options in the game. |

You can also become a DIGGER from the begining! Guards, mages and mercaneries are all wimps..Real men dig ore.
