HomeLAN Fed has conducted an interview with Mutable Realms' Senior Vice President James C. Moffet, IV about his company's recently announced "Ultra Massively Multiplayer Online RPG" 'Wish'.

Hmm... The game seems further away from lauch than I thought at first. "Q4 2004" release date probably means we won't see it before Q1 2005 Gives them time to find things to put inside beside the Ultra massive number of players....

Funny though that the guy should say:
"We simply love playing MMORPGs, and it was always our desire to develop our own game. But we didn't want to write yet another "me-too" product, so we decided to develop a game in a new category that we call "UMMORPG""

Then he goes on to describe every other MMORPG currently on the market or being developped....

Excellent points Ekim.

For some reason, MMORPG developers are falling into what I call vacum cleaner syndrome.
For the rest of mankinds existence on Earth, there will never be a need to develop a radical new vacum cleaner--they intake air and debris. You can adjust the power and range, maybe add some bells and whistles, but the basic design will not change.
I thought game development was supposed to be a creative process.
