TomTom, I want to just say I really liked the Gothic trailer, it totally rocked. Will there be another trailer like that for Gothic 2?

Will there be a world editor or anything like that for Gothic 2?

Hi all,

we are planning to produce both, trailer and demo...it's in the hands of our publisher if they also use an english version...but why shouldn't they?
I don't know about a world editor yet...

@Krycek: Thx a lot

TomTom

A barrier? Yes.... maybe it could be out of trees? Walking trees? You don't know how much I missed my beloved walking trees...

Thanks for the answers, TomTom!
Let me ask you if there will be any engine changes besides work on the scripts for the new universe?

It's not that I am unhappy with the existing one - just curious. The existing engine was awesome, except for turning around (or it was just my TNT2 M64). Turning around was awefully slow.

From what I've got now there will be new skills implemented. This is very exciting by itself!

Maybe it is still not too late for a suggestion: is it possible to make the weapons breakable? Which would mean that you can only use a rusty sword to fight N number of reptiles and a few diggers, but it would break immediately if used on a guard. And the bows and crossbows may require new string from time to time.

Okay, Okay, I do not insist. Just thought it could have made the game more livelike. It was possible to improve a bow using a string in my favourite BAK. And I thought it would make sense that swords would get dull after several uses, once there were so many grindstones around.

Hey TomTom, on page 12 of the manuel (English version) there is a picture of a lurker, a mercanary, and some other freaky, bipedal, mutant frog thing. What the is that thing? I know I never saw it during the game, I definately would have noticed it.
