Okay, I did what you said, Michael, dumped the Lord for a Dracon Fighter (Berserk is really useful), and ditched the rogue for a Faerie Mage. It's working fine so far, the gadgeteer can manage the locks fine. I chose to make the Samurai my diplomat, i.e. the one with the communications skills. I'm not putting many points there, because I wanna max critical strike asap. Did anyone find Communications useful?

IMPORTANT: do not use your exp. points for things such as communications etc. They can be improved by using and you do not need more than that.
I did not give single point to communication and had not single problem with it...

Well, that goes for any skill, you know

Swordfighting seems to go up for me regardless

Does anyone have any Communications success story?

I know it is in every skill, but for communication it is enough

Well here is how I see the skills importans:
Always use exp. points in "expert skills", (when basic abilities reach 100 point). Then for melee fighters, only put points in Critical strike, close combat, dual weapon, and specific weapon skill in that order!
For magic users only use points in Power cast, Specific spellbook skills, and Specific realms in that order too.
Don't waste points in any other abilities, hench they will upgrade them self in the rate you need them.
