How to remove the spikes in the Black Ring Dungeon?

Hmm, the only spikes I encounter are the ones cast by the big shot black ring mages. That is, they cast a spell creating them.

So to remove them, kill the mages

Spike from spell caste by the mage is no problem to overcome. What I'm facing now is the spike which use as a blockage inside the dungeon. Can't seem to find any weapon or switch to have this spike remove

In my game, they dissapear after killing... someone(s)
Just keep exploring the different areas and killing everything ...

I've killed most of the baddies at the start of the dungeon. I have also cleared the first island. Nothing left to kill

IIRC there's 5 islands to clear, with a boss at the end of each one. After you kill the 5 bosses, you'll get access to the final boss via the spike-cleared path.
