In fact it's not that complicated. If the first npc goes down the game looks for the next object to set the focus on by priority.
So if there is an second NPC who is standing he wins the price and gets focused (if not, the unconscious npc keeps focused...)

I understand now Nico. The hero doesn't not have to lock onto a single target when he is swinging. Thats good. One at a time combat vs. pack enemies was the ultimate Gothic action flaw.
Now...
When one opponent gets winded, you must stop and look down before you can pitch your sword into his or her guts. Right?
I remember accidentally killing human foes in G1 that way. (Accidentally finishing them off" in the process of [attempting] swinging at others.)
So that annoying rule has been tweaked a bit? Good. Good.
Thanks for the drops of news.
Let me add. Will there be a rule about swords being the weapon that does not require "finishing off". I mean how many people have ever heard about a fighter being critically slashed or stabbed by a sharp sword, and only suffer blunt trauma from it?
No vorpal weapons or chance of instant skewering for npcs right? _________________

Yeah... I hate the way when I slay a pack of wolves, and their carcasses are on top of one another it's so difficult to focus on every one of them to get at their furs etc.
Gothic 2 sounds great. All set to be my new favorite game I hope! |
