IWDII: Stupid question in the Cleric's Tower in S. Hand

Okay, I'm trying to help out the demon and kill ten "slaves." The problem is, hardly any anonymous characters in the Severed Hand are actually labelled as "slaves." Most are labelled as "workers." I found six actual slaves to kill, but when I try to round out the balance with "workers," the demon won't recognize that I've killed ten individuals. What do I have to do to make this work?!?!?

I appreciate any help.

I can't recall the quest... but have you looked in the other areas of the tower for more 'slaves'?

Are you playing with evil party? Killing slaves should (!) be an evil act, mkay

That should explain why I don't recall this quest either... Hmmm... I actually plan to go through IWD2 again with evil characters - should bring my own slaves then
