TES: Less Generic NPCs Project

This is a roleplaying mod to make the NPCs in morrowind more realistic.
The start point is Seyda Neen and so far seven npcs have been modified and a social quest added.
you can download the mod at
http://www.geocities.com/joestevensus/index.html

thanks,
Joe

Also at morrowind mods

Thanks to the nice people a morrowind-mods, the Less Generic NPC mod is listed under the Inclusive mods section.
This might be the best place to get it, since we all know how Geocities can be a bit odd at times.

I'm interested in helping with this thing, I'm working on making Balmora a more interesting place to live and with the Plugin Merger it would be pretty cool to make a huge plugin with tons of individual NPCs

I love what you've done so far with this mod. Makes the NPC interaction MUCH more interesating, and fixes one of the design elements I liked the least, all without breaking or unbalancing the game.

One of my favorite mods so far.

Please keep it up!

You might want to look over your writing though. As this plugin breaks at least 2 sedya neen quests (I took it off after that). Fargoth's ring quest and Find the Murderer of the Taxman quest.

I am sorry and can you help me a bit?

Sorry LGNPC mod messed up the quests.
I have tried to duplicate the problem and failed. Both quest seem to work ok for me.
Could you let me know where you were in the quest, if you tried it, and what other mods you are running that might conflict with mine in the Seyda Neen area?
I know thats a lot to ask, but I would be grateful as I try to make sure I make Morrowind better and not worse.

No breakage for me, but I did find one small glitch with the taxman. Thevera(sp?) in the lighthouse will never give the hint about the murder. When you confront the murder, everything goes according to plan, just no hint for new folk to figure out the villain.

The other plugins I had running concurrently are SIlentCharGen, Silverdrake Boots, House D'Orthay, and Banking 1.8.

One question though, you mentioned a new "social" quest. Who is supposed to trigger it? I'm sure I've talked to everyone multiple times, and can't get any new quest stuffs.

Fixed lighthouse lady (I hope) and a mild spoiler

Thanks Merkin
It is amazing how easy it is to mess things up in the editor isn't it? I found that somehow the lighthouse lady had her lines and the generic lines reversed, even though I never edited that bit, grr.
Anyway I simply copied, without removing her other lines, the correct lines before the generic text and that seemed to fix it.

To start the quest, admire Indrele for a while (til oh say 70 or so) then ask about her background and follow the new thread.
BTW there are quite a few cases where you will get a bit more information in a piece of dialog if the LGNPC likes you more. Also try the mod as both genders to find all the little differences.

I added the fixed version with a few new dialog bits and set so it won't fill up your journal topics at
http://www.geocities.com/joestevensus/

Also just so you can say you heard it hear first, the next additions to the budding LGNPCs will be the fisherman of Seyda Neen and one of thier ladies. That should be in the next week or less, depending on work.

Cool, thanks for the info!

Guess I'll have to wait on the social quest, I don't have speechcraft, and my reactions are right around 50.

Ah well, soon I'll have a charm spell
