So I am near end and I reached level 50 with my dwarf warrior.
Exp. points needed to level up from level 49 to 50 - 49 999. Exp. points neede to level up from level 50 to 51 - 999 999. So level 50 is max . Sad for me, because leveling was very funny.
However I really enjoy story and gameplay.

Wow. I NEVER hit 50. Cool. You CAN hit it. I know people who download the patch that lets you go to 99 and manage to make it to 55 to 60... but I've never seen how. I guess they spend more time in the sewers than I do.

Yes, now I know that after 50 level, you gain no more exp. points.

And reason why I reached so high level? I do not know. I do not spent much time in severs, I do not finish every sidequest. Maybe reason is that after your advice about more exp. points in turn-based fights, I tried it and realized that it is really true and that difference is big. So I played nearly whole game in turnbased (now, when I can not levelup, I play nearly only real-time).

Can you direct me to that patch-file that allows me to level up?

http://www.rpgplanet.com/arcanum should have
it

http://www.terra-arcanum.com will if the other doesn't.

other than that, looking for the answer at one of the boards on those sites will. If THAT fails going to http://arcanum.sierra.com and going to the forums WILL turn up the answer.

edit: http://www.terra-arcanum.com/station/downloads.shtml has two... one for version 1.0.7 and 1.0.7.4 check your version before deciding which to download. And backup your save game folder just in case you have to reinstall after the hack is installed.

I can get either Arcanum or Gothic. The last rpgs I played were BG2, BG2 TOB, and Icewind Dale. I enjoyed them very much. Which game do you think I should get, and why?

I finaly finished this game.
It was great game with interesting story, nice character developing (many ways how to profile your character), nice graphics and effects, very nice music...

Only fights were too easy for me. Especially end with four characters on level 50 was just joke and final boss did maybe 20 dmg to one of my creature with life 200 .

Yes, that has been the universal complaint - fighting too easy. I played with no followers and the end battle was still trivial.

I think Arcanum is great, I like the difficulty level.

I'm level 43 right now and I don't think I'm near the end, I'm sure I'll reach level 50.

I'd recommend Arcanum to anyone.

BTW--Thanks for the links, Xen.

My world destroying mage (who was level 44) is jealous now of all the 40s and 50s. heh. He had... oh... 16 points sitting around at level 44. I was done. Everything I wanted. For the final battle (irritating if you're evil) I maxed out dex and melee for the hell of it to use one certain weapon you find in the last level...
