I just entered here on rpg.dot on oblivion forum and those guys are very passive there you can wait forever to get a reply. And the atmosphere there is boring. I see that even the Gothic forum is better then the oblivion one .
Here I feel very good and i'm enjoying the conversations with you fellows.
Thank's a lot to everyone, especial Gorath for understanding and useful info,
I understood that he is the godfather around here.
I realy hope that some day we can all meet for a

Oblivion might very well be an excellent game, and the modding community of Morrowind has always been amazing, yet the Gothic people will always be nr.1!

This is a good forum. There is a lot of helpful info here and a lot of polite posters. Some forums I've been on make me feel like I'm always on the defensive, with nasty people who rip apart everything you write.

It's more sane and pleasant here. The moderators are good too. I've seen moderators who abuse their own authority to act like jerks and bully the people who post. Here they are un-biased, truthful, and all knowing (well at least where Gothic is concerned, I realize they're not gods...or are they?).

Aye, the moderators are great, among the best I've seen on the net. Jaz has been a bit quiet on the Gothic forums lately, but Gorath is doing great as always.

I don't mind kissing the "godfathers" ring because it is the custom. I only wish Gorath would remove it from his back pocket

Do you mean RPGCodex for example ? I think the codex guys think that the dot guys are too gentle with each other and they prefer a more rough conversation style. But it's funny nonetheless to read it.

I browse the Dot for an average of three hours a day, mainly deleting spam and double posts. If I feel I have nothing of importance to add to a discussion, I don't post. It's that simple.

Oh really? I remember the old days you know, when Gothic fights were being arranged by someone called Jaz, and she kept us up-to-date on different analysis and experiments you were doing.

I know why the forums in general are a bit quiet though of course. It was the same inbetween Gothic 1 and 2, and then it booms after something new is released. I expect to see some well-written words regarding Gothic 3 as soon as it comes out from you though, and I believe I won't be dissappointed this time either.

The mods around here never really dissappoint, so I should probably stop rambling now, hehe.

That was a few years ago, even before I was made a guardian. I'm an admin, a parent and a Linux user now, so even just playing a game once is a luxury nowadays. Most of my free time goes into forums maintenance.
