After installing the 1.15 patch!

I installed the game and began playing. Then I downloaded the patch and followed the instructions to install the patch. After that, my shortcut would not start the game and I could also not start from my Programs menu. It does start and run like normal from the autorun menu, but I'm having to open and close my disc drive each time. I also have not noticed any change to game play. I did start over with a new game after the patch installation. I'm undecided if I should mess with this or not, or just use the autorun and be glad my game runs without problems. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This is probably a securom problem... if you don't mind playing like this we recommend you to keep the patched version.
You can also try to contact securom to get a fix:

you can produce an analyse file. Please forward the file to the email support of our copy protection manufacturer: support@securom.com.

a) Produce a shortcut on your desktop
b) Right-click on the file to choose the „properties“ from the menu
c) Simply include a appendix to the target reading like this: „ /secuexp“. (f.e.: “c:\ProgramFiles\....\arx fatalis\arx.exe” /secuexp )
d) Double-click the short-cut while the original CD-ROM is still in you CD-ROM drive.

This command disables the normal start of the application. It starts an analysis that produces a file: c:\AnalyseLog.sr0. Please send this file to the address above.
