Hi everybody,
Looking for the ultimate rpg experience I came across Arx Fatalis. After installation I've applied the 1.17 patch and downloaded the fix for the missing textures thing. But still something is going wrong...
In the beginning of the game, during the tutorial, there's a small puzzle where you need to get some rope to make a lever work. After doing that, I stand on the platform, pull the lever and the platform starts going up. But then, just before I get to the top, I fall halfway through the platform and I'm stuck. Can't move my character anymore !!
No way to get out, no way to continue.
Anyone out there knows about this problem?
Your advice and help is appreciated.
I am eager to continue this promising RPG.
Thanks!!
pc specs:
amd athlon 3800 x2 (only one core used for the game)
geforce 7800gt
nvidia forceware 84.43 (no way i'm installing older drivers...)
directX 9.01c

Now that is a new one. I have no idea what you can do other than what you most likely tried, and that is clicking everywhere and seeing if you can get out of it by falling or finally walking. Been watching this board for years and never had that happen to anyone.
You may have to reload your last save. Let us know if you sort it out for the next guy. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Hi,
I should have known this bug is rare since I haven't found it on any forum. I think this could be driver related so I should try installing an older one... More info on this later!

Installing an older version of the video drivers didn't work. Then I just reinstalled the game. This fixed everything!!
Off to explore the dungeon!! |
