How many dragons do I need to kill, is there only 3 or is there a fourth? And do I NEED the dragon eggs for any particular reason? |

There are four dragons...
-One resides in the old mountain fortress in the north-west of the Old Mining Valley = stone dragon
-Another lives up top the big tall mountain in the north end of the Valley = fire dragon
-Yet another lives in the swamp in the NE part of the valley - swamp dragon
-Finally, in the far eastern "iced over" part of the Valley resides the ice dragon.

As to your other question. Dragon eggs can be given to Bennet if you are a Dragon Hunter for exp or kept (for everyone) to make a VERY VERY powerful permanent potion in Chapter 6. Your choice... though I'd save em up and make a potion or two.

There're 6 dragons in the game. You need to kill 4 of them in the 4th chapter and the last two are in the Halls of Irdorath in the 6th chapter. And yes, you need dragon eggs for such reasons as:
1. In CH6 you can brew a potion +15str from 10 eggs and a black pearl, if you know alchemy. If you are playing as merc you can brew two such potions.
2. As a paladin you can also bring one egg to Neoras in Monastery and get a +5 str potion two days later.
3. You can sell them all to Bennet for money  |

Actually, you don't need to know alchemy to brew the big potion in ch 6. You need a bit of sulfur also for the potion.
