I wonder if Sirtech, at the time, thought it best to keep a small crowd so as to make the game playable on its minimum system requirements. It's 233 Mhz or better, 64 MB RAM...down to 8 MB of video memory. Now I'm running a Pentium II 400 with a 16 MB ATI Rage 128 and 256 SDRAM, and I'll tell you that things get VERY sluggish, mainly my mouse pointer, on the Trynton trees even with 95% of the graphic options turned off. I, for one, don't mind the limited crowd.

Hey! Take in mind what has happened to dominus. The Dark Savant has come and terrorized arnika. He killed people, and mostly everyone fled. He shot down all ships preventing the Helazoid and other races from visiting. Most of the Higardi Bandits and such are probably people who fled. The Trynnie have been fighting for ages against the rapax, I am amazed that they are still alive. |
