Armor and arrow question

Hello all,

I'm a newbee and just started to play this game.

When I would like to use my bow, it doesn't shoot any arrow. No damage to my opponent is done and the count of my arrows in the inventory stays the same. Do I need to load my bow before using it?

I bought the leather armor at Mateo's shop but can't see any changes on my character's profile. How can I see if my armor has been improved?

A desparate gamer

Hey there.

Make sure you have equipped your armor/bow in your inventory before you try using it.

to fire the bow you need to take it in your hand. Then you shoot the same way you do with a sword.

Another thing is that you must stand still while shooting you can't run and shoot.

If that doesn't help stop by here again and we'll try to help you more.

If you mean that the bow is selected, yes. It got the figure 2 in the inventory. When I try to fire, there is no arrow on the bow. So i presume I need to load the bow but how?

You need both a bow and some arrows in your inventory. Then press the 2 key to get the bow in your hand. If you have arrows in the inventory, you have to target and fire.........hold ctrl+ up arrow(which is the normal "use" action). You can switch between different targets by using the left/right arrows while holding ctrl, then press the up arrow to fire.

Well maybe there is an arrow there you just don't fire the arrow. Like you aim and then the hero just puts bow back into starting position without fire-ing. If that's how it is you just have to press UP when already aiming. [Ctrl+Up] like told in previous post.

Without any arrows you won't be able to pull out your bow, merc. I guess it's just the UP that's missing. And even when you fire, Dunkman you probably won't hit anything (or only from a very close range), because you're still a rookie with it.

You also need to "equip" the armor in order to wear it. Go to your inventory, highlight the armor and press the ctrl key. You will be able to see a noticable difference not only in stats, but also in the appearance of the hero with all improved armor.

Thx all.

Last night I tried everything out for the arrows. Nothing worked. I'll try again tonight, else I quit the bowability.

As for the armor, it's solved. For a reason or another, I confused the picture with an herb. The picture for the leather armor is not that clear and it stood just next to the herbs. Once this armor on I had no problem anymore with giant rats and other small enemies

See ya

Maybe a little glitch or something with the bow then.

Lol, wearing an herb, going for the "Adam and Eve"-look, Dunkman.

Also make shore that if you fire a bow you need arrows and if you fire a crossbow, you need bolts. You cannot fire bolts with the bow and arrows from the crossbow.

1) You need bow and arrows in the inventory.
2) Then you can assign a bow in the inventory.
3) "2" selects the bow during normal gameplay.
4) You need to keep shoot button pressed for some time. The arrows donīt shoot immediately.
5) You could try it with a spell scroll. Those work the same way.

Its really really annoying to use bows when you are unexperienced. You hit nothing unless you sneak under their nose and fire.

Killing Young BLoodflies is really easy with a bow even without skills. When you attack them with a sword they will keep circling around you making them very hard to hit. With a bow you can lure them and once there right before shoot them with an arrow.

You can kill circling bloodflies with a bow if you fire at the right moment.
