Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but this sure seems like a bug to me, the way it just cuts off:
When I start the trial in chapter 3, the prosecuter gets up to where he says he's about to question the first witness, and then it boots conversation, everyone leaves, and it says I've lost the trial. I don't know what's happening. I don't get to say anything, and neither does the witness. Even if I lose, I should think I'd get to see myself flub it. |

I did everything the walkthroughs say to, except bribe. I just think it's really weird how it suddenly boots me out of the trial without telling me why. |

Sounds like you've got a corrupted file then. Either your save file is trashed which means you need to go to an older save, or the chapter 3 module is misbehaving which means you need a reinstall.
