Knew most of those facts, but I will update the main post with the new facts shortly. Thank you all for providing all these facts - it's good to have it all in one place!

Also, regarding the nameless bloke not being chosen. I still don't think he is. You know why? It's just not a typical PB thing to do. "Xardas is a good guy, and SO trustworthy" - BAM - "I used you all the time and all I really wanted was lots and lots of power, ha ha, too bad dumbass".

And I can see it now, in the final encounter between the nameless bloke and Xardas:
"LOL you stupid git! You really thought you were chosen right? Right? BWAHAHA, that is so funny, man I had you fooled all along. Ooh this just cracks me up, well, time to die newb, so long!"

Of course, I base my opinion on a bit more than just my crazy ideas. To be honest I didn't even come up with the idea - PB gave me that idea in one of the interviews you can read if you search through the G3 news archive that "Didn't it occur to any of you that Xardas might be lying about the whole thing?".

And yes, it does:
1) Who found the Tears of Innos? Xardas, and simply gave our hero the key.
2) Who knows the most about the old texts and scriptures? Xardas, you can see that in the old, hidden room he had in the dungeon of the Monestary.
3) How is it that Pyrokar who now, all of a sudden, realize that you are "chosen" did NOT realize the same fact when he met you the first time as you were pushed into the colony?
4) Xardas said in the end that he didnt send you in against the sleeper to defeat him, but so he could gain the Sleepers power.
5) Xardas could have just left our great hero in the dungeon of the sleeper, and our hero would have died. If Xardas sees our hero as an actual threat, that is exactly what he would have done, and the Chosen of Innos is certainly a threat to a man who wants to be the uber dude of darkness.

All in all, if you think about it, Xardas is responsible for almost all our heros' great acts, and he has been guiding our hero around, not because the hero is Chosen, but because he wanted to use the hero to gain power himself. It's all been one big play, and Xardas is the puppet master.

That is my opinion, at least. It just doesn't seem very PB like to create a standard "you are the chosen, save the world" kind of plot. There is always a new turn to be expected..

in fact I never trusted Xardas untill the begin of gothic 2 when he obviously saves your life. Before that he just sends you to your death a couple of times, asking you to do insane things without doing anything himself. So during Gothic1 I constantly waited for the line "damn those stupid orcs can´t handle you I'll have to do this myself " but it turned out he wanted you to defeat the sleeper so he could steal it's power.

In Gothic2 he is a bit more helpful, giving you info about what to do, eye of innos, tears of Innos, paladins master armor etc. So then i finally thought he was my ally and in the end he just used you to gain the dracolich´ evil power. So I think he will be a villain or at least a neutral in the next part. I guess you will need him for information but he fears your power so he sends you on extremely difficult missions or something like that. or he betrays you by giving false information. (a scroll of great healing which turns out to be a scroll of agressive demon summoning would be fun )

As for the hero being the chosen of Innos, I'm sure he must be someone special but the facts show that he doesn't have to be Innos' chosen. It would be great fun if he was a (bastard) son of the king, just like king Arthur, who returns to the capital in times of great need and becomes the most powerful and experienced king ever. Sorry for spoiling the plot PB

It becomes more obvious that Xardas is playing games in the addon. When I first played it and walked upstairs and found the Beliar Statue, it really made me wonder.

"Hmm, Xardas, you want me to go for the Eye of Innos and to get the mystrious weapon that could change everything (Beliar's Claw) in order to save the world, but you do have a Beliar Shrine in your tower.

Yeah, Xardas is definetly evil all in all imo, but unfortunately he is also extremely powerful. The most powerful spell in G2 was probably Summon Demon(this Demon could kill a troll, a dragon etc etc), buuut Xardas can summon a whole bunch of demons AND a demon lord(in his tower after he leaves). That's pretty damn impressive, hehe.

This is abit off topic of what you all were talking about but then again, there is no topic...(i'll describe it in a story way)

"After defeating the evil soldiers of the old camp I made my way with gorn to the outside region of the free camp. As we entered, a wave of arrows and bolts thrived in our direction. It appeared the old camp was ready for our attack. Together with Gorn we managed to dodge the arrows, charge up to the offenders and victimise them. As we made our way to the next cavern, the strangest thing occured. Gorn, my (finger-quote) companion, attacked me, beat me, and took my ore. What the hell was that about!? I responded. It appeared that Gorn could be suffering of some sort of split personallity disorder"

I know that that is a bug triggered by the enemies presence, but nevertheless its a funny thing to look out for in the game. (well actually not funny, cuz i lost my ore).

It happened to me too. Also with Gorn (what's wrong with that guy). I went killing those lizardmen near the Stone Castle where the Stone Dragon is.

Nice exploit: team up and let them kill you, F8 and repeat this untill you're level 100 (or think it becomes boring).

The bug is triggered by a bolt hitting you in Gorns' presence. That's why it doesn't happen the first time you team up with him - there are no people with crossbows. I do not know if this bug exists with all NPCs, or just Gorn, because Gorn is the only one you team up with and then fight people with crossbows.

Worth noting, when Gorn whacks you he doesn't take your ore. If he does, it's a different team-up bug that is more rare afaik. The whole Gorn-smash-nameless one bug can happen up 10 times or more when going through the mines. The best thing to do is to let him wait at the start, or "dump" him down places by going near the edge and let him "smell" the enemies down there, go nuts, and jump down to kill them all(without you being near at all, just standing at the top). This way you avoid getting hit by bolts, ergo - you avoid him killing you because you don't trigger the bug.

First, it is nice we all have our oppinions, thou I disagree based on current facts known.
It is PB's story if they say in the story with ALL the major charaters, "Only the Chosen of Innos" can wear the Eye of Innos, guess what?
The Namelees Hero wears the Eye of Innos, btw Pyokar specificly says "Only ONE Chosen can bare the Eye", so the Chosen cant be anyone else, according to the current storyline.

Second what are you talking about, please give me an example of how PB has taken a completly trustworthy guy, turned him evil and called all their fans "dumbass".

The only reason I point this out is you say in your title "Fun Facts" not "Fun Oppinions" which could certianly confuse new people, plus you say "May get a few spoilers but nothing important"
Say WHAT you are giving away the whole plot and end boss.
There are people/countries that have do not even have the game yet, seems completly misleading and unfair.

Not only do you spoil the whole plot, then you have the idea to tell them the plot is not real.
First based on post, possibly taken out of context (ie, if it was really PB it could have been a retoical device or playful banter with a fan), then on oppinion seems rude.
Now if you would have done this in the Spoiler area I would consider it a fantasic post full of useful and intresting tips from fans.

Who is telling you that those "major" characters don't make mistakes. Today's leaders of the church are now and then misjudging of misusing texts from the Bible too, isn't that comparable with Pyrokar believing in or saying something that might not be true?

With the "dumbass"-part Maylander means that Xardas calls the nameless hero a dumbass, not PB calling their fans a dumbass. And Xardas did become the chosen of Beliar, which doesn't place him in the "good guy"-box.

"Who is telling you that those "major" characters don't make mistakes"

Lol, you believe what you want and justify it how ever you want
I am not saying anything could'nt happen, just you have nothing factual I can see as the title suggest at least in this area.

"With the "dumbass"-part Maylande"

Ok even if that is true, he still acts talks like this is standard PB plot twist, which I sure would like to see an example.

"which doesn't place him in the "good guy"-box."

Depends on your perception I guess, not that I have a clue about G3, just going by G1 & G2 can you name an evil thing he has done?

PB may decide to change the direction, I however would be disappointed since the idea of working to overthrow evil by learning about evil and decovering it's weaknesses to help overcome evil is refreshingly new to me.
The idea that the three forces had to work together to defeat evil in G2 was very different, exciting and new.

I at least till G3 comes out intend to enjoy Gothic series for what it is up to this point.
As Xardas said (Milton as well in G1) and wrote in his books he has been studing the Dark Arts to uncover what went wrong during the barrier and to stop Beliar's armys from getting the Ore.
There are many directions to go with the story but acting like this info is fact is misleading.
If Xardas was evil why didnt he just kill everyone on the ship ?
The Hero has died before and it was Xardas whom saved his life and even said that the Gods do NOT control them (including him).
Since the goal, as spoken by the creature Xardas got his power from his goal/purpose was to destory the Hero, your whole argument falls apart, imo

Probably a well known fact, but you can read the letters KSO written with stars by a clear night in Gothic I.
( or maybe it's K.SO ? )

I don't know the meaning of these letters though : something to do with Kairo ?

KSO is (or was) 'Kommando Sommerlad', a Counterstrike clan. Some of KaiRo's friends were members of KSO, but I don't remember if he was a member as well.

Xardas is definetly going to be the final fight in G3, because he is the new Sleeper, the new Undead Dragon, the new Champion of Beliar, and at the end of G2 he tells our hero "I used you to gain power myself, and so that I would be the next chosen of Beliar", so yeah - that is a HUGE twist in the plot, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see more such twists.

And another thing. Our hero didn't die. He was kept alive because of the magic in the ore armor, and Xardas teleported him out(according to Xardas at the start of G2). Why did he teleport him out? Because he needed our hero to defeat the dragon so he could become Beliars' new chosen.

I just said "Xardas is definetly.. ".. nope, not definetly. After PBs big twist in the G2 plot I wouldn't be surprised to see more twists and turns in G3, such as our hero not being chosen, Xardas not being evil, Pyrokar being evil, Lee being a woman in disguise.. you name it basically.

Also, I base my whole idea about our hero not being chosen on two things:
1) PB plots are often more in the dark than obvious. Everyone thought G2 was straight forward, and then Xardas revealed his true self as the Chosen of Beliar all of a sudden.
2) In an interview where someone asked the question "Isn't the whole plot in G2 with a chosen who is going to fight the evil a bit of a cliche?", PB answered "Haven't you ever thought about the fact that Xardas might be lying?". This opens for our hero NOT being the chosen at all.

Xardas knows far more than Pyrokar about anything, so who cares about what Pyrokar says at all? Pyrokar, imo, is an arrogant fool that has ignored Xardas and the evil rising for far too long, and is not willing to lift a finger even when evil is at his doorsteps. The whole plot evolves around Xardas as much as it evolves around our nameless hero, of that I am certain.

Also, I did not know the star thing and it being a clan. Cool!
