I know that I and Whailor and others with Kiwi Boy were trying to read over and fix typos in the main Addon Mod. Before that is finished, then tackle Dicurric.
The last word from KB was he was starting school again and last post was September 5....but it is not finished; though all the fixes are listed there....we need a meeting between all to discuss it.
For Diccuric is straight translated already from German to English, but needs read through similiar to the Addon Mod v1.0 was getting....else it may sound dry and odd. "Hey Benchol, today fun day!" I translated that the same way, but it makes odd sense in English. "Hey Benchol, heute SpaBtag!"
I assume finish one project first. We need to hear back from KB. And of course, Cothyso knows how to script the lines together; I have no idea or I would try to help and do it (insert the most corrected final sentences).

What does that want to say? Sth like "Hey, Benchol. Aprilfool!" sounds better. Since that's truely the day of jokes and pulling someone's legg.

so Moe and I think that we have finished the translation v1.0
Cothysouploaded the files and Moe is scripting the Diccuric files.
So we hope that there will be soon the first beta of Diccuric in english

I received the following status update on the English translation of Diccuric on Sept. 11, 2004:
Hi,
we do our best to finish the translation. We have currently some inseration problems with the text and it's hard to find the bug in my tool. We have no timeline, because we do all things in our free time and can't calculate time very well. The last weeks, I had some problems with my computer to solve, had to move our homepage, weren't home often at all...well, I do my best to get the sh** tool working correctly, but it's hard to remove a bug as long as you can't get behind the scheme of it...

Hi,
our time is too short, to do a intensive bugtracking. We need now support for testing the translation, so that we find every line, that is left in German. Please collect bugs and post lists. It would be very helpful, if you note the German text line and where it was displayed (dialog (who talks with the hero?), diary topic ...)
So here you can get the Beta:

How to install the Beta? First you must get the Player Kit. I think, that you can find it here at gothic.rpgdot.com in the download section for the English Gothic version. Then you must install it. After that, you should get the German install file of Diccuric (setup_diccuric.exe, links for downloads at www.tagmt.de.vu ), install it, if you want the German speech, get it and install it and then get the patch 1.1d for Diccuric (all the same download section at our homepage). When you installed all of this files, extract the English beta, put the ini files into your gothic/system directory, the .mod file into data/modvdf path.
It's very important, that you use the GothicStarter to launch Diccuric and Gothic in future.

Ok, i played it already, and already found some german speechs in the following guys:
The mercenary at the bridge in front of the fortress (when you accuse him about the wolf thing) sayis some lines in german
Talia--(i dont rembember the complete name, its the mage that transforms a guy into a bug) Almost every time you talk to him he talks german/english..
After i ask mercenaries: "where can i find", there is a line that says some really weird
The stats window has some german words
Some items are named in german, like picklocks, torchs, keys or jugs
The video that appear when start a new game is completely in german
And i have a question: where the ---- is Rotrou? i cant find him |
