Keep us informed! I'm with Maylander. I'll probably wait until the last minute before G3 comes out to get the add-on.

Thanks kindly for the links to Bontoland and the English manual...I finally broke down and purchased the Czech version of NotR. If the US/UK release ever does come out, I may re-purchase it...but an Enlglish voice/text Czech version is pretty darn close and I'm grateful for even that.

I'll finally be able to play Gothic II now!

btw - US$ total for ordering and shipping NotR was $59.62

You can still get the Italian version.

The difference presumably being that with the Czech/International version the subtitles will be in English whereas with the Italian version they will be in Italian.

English voices.

True...aside from the manual, box art etc. I'm also hoping the installer and other files like the readme and .ini files are in English. (They probably are, but you never know...)

The Eastern European version (Hungary, Czech SV, UK) English add-on as shown above (which can be bought from Czech Botonland.cz as Whailor pointed out) is full English voice (dialogs and cutscene) plus the official English text subtitle.

The manual was on the disk as four languages which includes the English manual.

Installed over raw virgin English Gothic 2 UK version 1.31 with no problem. So, there you go, it works fine . Cost is about 20 USD in Czech, but with VAX tax and shipping to USA is about 57 USD total.

One thing, you must have the original new English Add-on Gothic.exe version 2.7 disk. The German EXE version 2.6 will NOT work.

Edit: for content. Basically, just buy the game from that company, it will work (Eastern Europe version Raven add-on version 2.7 plus UK Gothic 2 v 1.31) only if you have the original new add-on disk. It is a new version.

Some of the info I posted could be used by pirates on hind sight.

Remember we donīt allow discussion of pirated games on this forum, guys.

Xerxes confirmed once again that the Eastern European version can be installed out of the box over the UK G2.

This solves the UK problem.

Itīs 99.99% sure both the Hungarian and the Italian version can simply be installed over just about every G2 worldwide.

We assume everybody on RPGDot has an original G2. The purchased TNotR is also an original. Installation problems apart from the usual CP issues are unlikely.

Thereīs no longer a need for a different exe and thus every discussion about this is superfluous.

In the upper left hand corner of the main Botonland web page is a small flag for Czech and UK flag. It is easy to overlook, but click on the UK flag, then everything is in English.
