Etrom: The Astral Essence

I saw the News annoucament about the game being available online and wondered if anyone tried this yet I was waiting for a review or something?

I never tried the demo, as of late some demos come with starforce, so I try to play it safe.
I looked on Gamerankings.com with no listings, even for the demo.

What is this about no save games?
No save games, wth!

Also saw mentioned it is a never ending world.
Does this mean something like Morrwind?

Thanks.

I just received our review copy yesterday...it will probably take a few weeks to play through and write an article (and I'll get distracted by Oblivion next week). From the very, very, very little I have played, it's an interesting hack'n'slash action/RPG. I'm not so keen on the technofantasy world and comic-book stylings (just personal taste) but it is different, which is nice. The story is supposedly very good and non-linear -- but it will take a while to discover if that is true.

It doesn't have Starforce and the version available from TotalGaming.net has no protection whatsoever. You can't save until you finish the first quest for story reasons - I think it's a silly design decision but it is consistent with the game lore/story. The real game has the same start areas as the demo but feels very different - they ramped up the equipment and enemies for the demo. I thought the actual game was better.
