What's with the dead Pally in front of Garond? |
|
So I'm the Castle in the old world, and I enter the hall where commander Garond is. As I approach his seat I notice a guy laying beside him who looks as though he is dead. I figure "What the heck? Let's see what's on him." When I open his 'inventory' the other guard there draws his sword and says "So you're the thief in our midst!" Or something like that. Of course it's true - I had been pilfering stuff in the castle to my heart's content.
So what's the deal? Was this entrapment or something? I would say that was clever programming, but then I came back umpteen days later and he's still laying there. So is the guy dead or what? And if so, why is he left laying there stinking up the place? _________________ "D'oh! I knew I should've saved sooner!" |

I think there was an clipping problem and he felt down near the orcs where he was killed, but if you come back he is lying dead near his spawn point.
This looks the best option for me. _________________ Gothic Credits

Hmn.... yeah, the idea of him dying and laying at his spawn-point makes sense I guess. Must have been a bug.

I encountered the same problem with on of the knights in the harbour (near the ship).Found him dead (while his buddies practiced swordfighting near him).Got holy arrow from him(was playing as a pal).
I had a similar problem when I plaied G1 for the first time.Found Fletcher on the ground in front of a hut near the arena. _________________ WORK ORC |

I had similar thing near the lighthouse when I beat the bandits. Several fell off the cliffs and were killed down the path as I ran to try and seperate them to kill them. When I went into the lighthouse and killed the rest and came back out to clear the bodies, they were all back on the ground around the campfire or in the buildings. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=
