Rappers nowadays spend half their time talking about the five escalades and all the "bling-bling" they have.
I'm not saying all rap is bad. I like some old school rap like Run-DMC and Public Enemy.

That's not hardcore, this is

http://betweentheburiedandme.com/audio/btbamsilent4.mp3

The first 2 muinites of it is just chaotic noise but if you manage to get past that the song changes compleatley, you wouldn't think it was the same band.

@Graham 2- It is a common misconception that hardcore is heavy metal. It is not. It's music that is kind of like punk music except the beat changes around a bit. Or stuff like CKY. That's hardcore. Oh yeah.

I like stuff from just about every genre. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of movie soundtracks. Favorite film composers:

Ennio Morricone (The Mission, The Untouchables, lots o' spaghetti westerns like A Fistful of Dollars)
Patrick Doyle (Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing)
Vangelis (Chariots of Fire)

Favorite bands:

Sigur Ros
Kings of Convenience
Opeth
Blind Guardian
Jethro Tull
Explosions in the Sky
Annihilator
Sarah Brightman (not a band, but she does awesome crossover pop/classical stuff, so I had to list her)

And for the classical:

Gorecki
Albinoni
Barber
Bach
Vaugh Williams
Mozart

I know I'm forgetting a bunch, but I just woke up and have only downed one cup o' coffee.

Oh, and I CANNOT STAND ALANIS MORISSETTE! Sorry, had to get that outta my system.

my favorites are:
LINKIN PARK
METALLICA(all songs except latest cd, that one just sucks)
KORN
GODSMACK
Creed
Ramsstein
marlyn manson
nickleback
POD
evanescence: great songs
within temptation
and a lot more of metal I still got to discover

Alice coopers
queen
MICHAEL JACKSON (all time favorite)
brian adams
bon jovi
Aerosmith
and a lot more of that good music form the 70-80-90.

The things I hate: THE MINDLESS music of today: r&b of today and rap. Or with other words, the women humiliating music and the acting like they are so great. then niggers that call them selves niggers but can't be called niggers by white men. Just hilarious
