Aw ..., all these complaints sound bad such as in Larian forums. It looks like the common opinions is that BD is not better than DD but worse.
Ho-hum. No new CRPG to play.
I heard that Patch 1.4 solved some bugs but also created some new bugs?. _________________

@Remus: I'd suggest waiting for it to drop a bit in price before buying it. It's a solid game, it's just not what I was expecting after DD.
I just installed the new patch, I haven't noticed any big problems yet. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

If you enjoyed DD I would definitely buy BeyDiv. The price doesn't change how much I enjoy a game so I don't see the point in waiting but that's just me. Many of the complaints on the Larian boards are valid but many of them are because it sets out to be a different game -- not just DD v1.5. The changes are not always for the better but it's a fun game. Later Acts are much better than the first, so you need a bit of time with it to appreciate it. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

I personally think BeyDiv is much MUCH better than DD. DD's hack-n-slash gameplay turned me off and it got really repetive. Whereas in BD the combat is actually fun and interesting. I absoultely LOVE the battlefields and think it should become standard in RPGs. Voice-acting was grating so i turned it off, no biggie. The music is great, nice and dark. The game's atmosphere (it's set in hell which is pretty awesome) kinda reminds me of PS:T _________________ irc.gamesurge.net #planescape #fallout |

Funny, it's exactly what I don't like about BD. Fantasy is surely okay, but I need a lot more comparison to the real world than BD offers. 100's of daemons and other unique creatures is watering the interesting fantasy down in my opinion. _________________ Moderator on RPGdot.com Forum.

Well, I made it through what was in the demo last night. It was alright. I was tempted to turn off the speech though. A Morte rip-off with a Swedish accent? Kill me please.
Swedish accent? I thought it was Austrian ... reminded me of Arnie ... you know the governer. Looking at it that way it was pretty funny.
Game play is okay ... I am not sure about being paired with the DK though.
I have gotten through the part in the demo, gone and used the pocket universe thingy (where I am currently running around). This pocket universe, while a neat idea, may unbalance the game too much. I've gotten two levels (with a really good shot at at least one more) and some very cool 'stuff', most importantly skills.
Which begs the question, after I pay a trainer 4,000 for a skill, where does the gold go? When I go to barter back for my gold, it is GONE! _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

They re-did the voices after response from the demo. Maybe they re-did that one.
As for the money disappearing, maybe they dropped it in their Money Market account for their retirement fund. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!
