Sleeper Temple

OK, I'm in the sleeper temple at the Orc Town, I have defeated three of the Guardians, and picked up the swords they left behind. After defeating the first one (the one shooting ice blasts), I was able to stick the sword into the hole in the room that I fought him in. As I understand it, you are supposed to do the same with the swords from the other guardians. However, I cannot seem to find those holes in the groud within which to stick the swords. However, I noticed in the guardian room with the sarchophogus that there is a purple square with a skull on it on the floor. Is that where I am supposed to stick the sword? I am just trying to find out if I have not looked hard enough or whether I have to go back to a (much earlier) save game. Any help is appreciated!

Don't worry about sticking them in the ground just yet.....you only have to do that if you need a way out of a room, like you did before. Later you will find a place to stick all 5 swords to open a gate. Just go find the sword guarded by another undead and take it to xardas......don't mess with the 5th undead yet...you WILL die.

The place with the purple square....if it is where i am thinking.....if you step on it the door will close, but don't worry because you have more to do. You should see a grate on the floor in that room....figure out how to get the grate open

And welcome to the forums!

You are right about the area with the purple square, but I know about the tomb you speak. My issue is this. I think I am ready to turn the switch on top of the large "column" in the lava room, but it will not turn for me. I am unsure what I have yet to do to activate it. I think I have defeated all of the guardians up to that point, so I am not sure what I have missed. Are there 3 or 4 guardians I need to have defeated at this point? And thanks for the reply!

@EdgarRice,

There are 4 guardians before you go through the gate beyond the lava cave. To use the elevator, press it once to get pc-hero into position and hold the switch, then quickly press a second time and hold the key down till the turning animation begins.

If you have defeated the 4 undead shaman then you have found a sword. Take it to Xardas and worry about that switch later. You CAN use the switch now and kill a couple more creatures and a templar.....but that is as far as you'll get. The 5th undead shaman can't be harmed by you at ALL yet......and he will kill you quickly.

If you have not found the 4th shaman guarding the sword you need to find him. The shaman I am talking about is in a buuilding surrounded by lava in a huge cave. Figure out how to activate a bridge that goes to the building.

@Wulf.....Since he has gotten this far he knows how to turn a switch I have never heard of a bug at that switch, have you?
