Game freezes when saving

OK, here is another frustrating thing that often happens to me:

When i'm saving the game (no quicksave) the game sometimes freezes when the savingbar is about half-full. There is nothing to do other than hitting the reset button. The strange thing is that I have been able to load the savegame after the restart, but it is still very annoying. Anybody know anything about this, or do I just have to wait for the patch?

Oh I almost forgot: I have all anti-virus stuff and other backround applications disabled or shut down before playing. I have windows xp on a athlon tb 1,4 ghz with a geforce 4 and 512 mb of ram.

that can be only a conflict with something else it aint Gothic 2 cos i havent heard about this never yet

I also think there must be an unnoticed software conflict somewhere.
