Dont change the fighting scheme...I liked click + arrow button...without it G2 will be like any other stupid RPG like diablo and stuff...I dont like making the fight so simple. I liked all controls in gothic alot...if u ask me they should make 2 kind of fighting controls coz I heard alot of critics about gothic control scheme even I dont see whats wrong with it and I think its one of the best I ever seen...also I dont understand how can u play any game without a mouse |

Yes! Two control schemes.
1: The critics-approved point and click scheme for babies!
2: The original scheme in all it's glory!

That sounds as if you know more about the controls. Can you tell us if they will be different in Gothic 2? |

Gothic II will have mouse control for the inventory, the mouse will be used for attacking and parrying by default, better configurability. _________________ Jaz |

The inventory was fine. Dont you folks have a scroll wheel?
Unless theyre going to have the type of inventory that pauses the game and opens another screen when you access it... The only annoyance was access to spells through the number keys.
Who here would like to see a rotary-based weapon inventory? Remember how you can hold down your "draw weapon" key and access spells in a rotary fashion?
Take you best weapons like 1 of each type of weapon (blunt, short, or long) and spontaneously switch!!!! _________________

Q: will there be dragging?
A: I hope not
Q: will the good old Gothic control scheme be available?
A: I think no (too much effort)
Q: so how it will be
A: wait for the Gothic II release.
The controls and the interface are not final. However most of the work is done and the general control scheme makes sense.

I never used the mouse. I really loved to play keyboard only and hope it's at least an optional control scheme. |

Because I prefer the keyboard -- I hope this too.

Good riddance !
I hated the controls in Gothic. Sure I got used to them but i still can remember howling in agony while I played my first hours of Gothic. THe gameplay pulled me though, but barely. Even though i'm used to them now and won't like to seem them back.
I think that the number of people who were ticked off by the controls and unistalled the demo were enormous. They are smart to change it this time.

I tried the demo before I bought the game. I needed to do some random pressing and clickings and spent several hours to find out how the controls work. Luckily that I didn't give up buying the game at that time, or I would regret deeply... _________________ =Farseer=
