| do I need to KILL THE DRAGON? |

seem to be stuck, got the egg, did all the quests leading to rm 45 magically sealed area cannot cast dispel field, says I do not have the skills,,,
reading another area that I cannot post on, glitch, says to kill the dragon... bought the egg,,,etc as per the walkthrough,,,
I left the dragon alive,, took the egg and enchanted the sword
totaly stuck and trying for weeks now,
so close and so far away
ps... reading this forum great and very helpful, now like a true female I want more,,, |

You don't have to kill the dragon to finish the game, but it is good Exp. points and may let you level up to the skill you need. As for dispell field, are you trying to cast scroll or from runes? You should be able to cast a scroll. Go back to all merchants, esp. the rebel camp and buy one. Then you don't need the dragon. Hope this helps and welcome to the boards.

CM is right, you don't NEED to kill the dragon, but there's NO benefit from not doing so. Allocating your points at level up, is extremely important in this game, which is a problem for people new to the genre especially. Some of us old-timers have learned to read ahead and guess from past experience what is going to be important.

A bunch of things have to happen before you can dispel that field. You must have created the "ultimate weapon", had it enchanted with the dragon's egg (either by Zalnashh or do it yourself). Then you will encounter Alia in front of that field, followed by a filmed confrontation between the King, Alia and the Snake women. Not sure but believe you must have uncovered Queen Florence murderer for this to happen. THEN you can cast Dispel Field
