Jake??

Ok, i must admit the whole duplicating healing stones baffled the hell outta me. apparently there is somthing mentioned in the book about it.. i like to think that i could have figured it out if i found the reference.. but i never did..

But Jake. first off for those you dont know you encounter jake 2 times. if you go into the 2nd most northerly house just south of the cemetary and move the packages you find a hatch. if you go down and enter the center room you will immedately fight jake. As well if you go topside and move the flowers from his wifes grave to his grave viola there he is again.

I have beaten him 2 times now and spent many a potion to do so.. (he is a tough lil bastard.) and got a couple hundred gold from it..

Is there anything besides a measly few xp that you can gain or do by killing this schmoe?

There is a note in the same room where you find the magic mirror. It explains how to use a magic mirror to duplicate simple magic objects. The rest you have to figure out. You need two gems. So duplicate the one you have. Viola, quest solved.

You haven't seen the last of Jake.

The locked grave on the left is the entrance to the first dungeon after you place the 3 magic orbs. the locked grave on the right is where jake is. if you move the flowers from his wifes grave directly to the right you get the key to his house as well as him popping out to take a chunk outta you.
