are you wearing heavy armor? Because when I upgraded from all chittin armor to all imperial steel (They sell full sets in pelegriad for around 400) My movement rate went down about 75%.
So I just hit caps lock, and started running. Guess what? Now my Athletics skill is 39....which means I eat up very little stamina and can sustain a healthy jog for many minutes. I rarely ever walk now.
Of course, one of my major skills is Athletics, so....
Thats a good tactic, by the way. In Daggerfall, all of my characters had at least 3 "main" skills that would move up without me using them. For instance, I would ALWAYS run when traveling within the towns doing my shopping, and I would default my movement to "Sneak" when in a dungeon. By game's end, my sneak and running would be near 100% without me ever "using" it.
The same seems to go for Morrowind. Heck, my Acrobatics skill is 9, even though I never chose it to be a starting skill. |

yes, walking is slow. For some it might be too slow, but I really don't care. I hardly ever RUN in this game.
This might be a silly bit of advice - but take your time. _________________ Rendelius

Something you might want to try is to start the game, load your save and then start a new game from within your save. I believe there may be a bug on some people's system keeping their walk/run speed at an abnormally low level after I did some experimenting last night using the player->setathletics 100 and player->setspeed 100 commands on my original character then several start overs that were 'new game'd from within the game. Either that or I'm on drugs .... and you never know, do you? |
