speeking of corrupted files... When I am installing/reinstalling, I keep getting that the vdf files don't match the ones in .cab files on cd and they may be corrupted (not pirated, got game from gogamer.com). Specifically Sound.vdf and Speach.vdf . It says that EVERY time I try to install. sometimes I can get into game and play, before it hangs up/CTDs after a while, or it just doesn't get in and crashes while loading. I had that problem before the patch, and even worse after the patch.

Sounds like your CDs could be defective.
What about the mainboard and IDE drivers, are they also up to date? _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Try the game on another PC. Then you know if the CDs or your machine causes the trouble. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Well... Tried installing on another computer and there were NO errors on that one. So the question no is: What the hell is fu*(ing up the installation on MY comp?
I'd update all the drivers but I don't think that will help.
Oh, after I put a new CD-RW and tried intalling from it, I got more errors, not less.
