Gothic 3: some more info

According to a post over at Gothic World Forum, the next sequel of Gothic is to be expected starting from the 3rd quartal of the year 2005.

Amongst other things, the post mentiones that the developers are concentrating on even more realisting animation. They are also working on entangled relations between NPC-s, as well as one realistic news system, which would simulate the natural flow of information. There will be no multiplayer, mostly because of the concept's restrictions. As an interesting item it is mentioned that you will meet the famous four once again. Also, the player should now start the game as a well-built character. The developers seem to think that starting from scratch isn't such a good idea, a bit booring if you will. Some sort of curse is being mentioned as a possible weakening factor at the beginning. But, it says nothing about conceivable character importing.

This, offcourse, is all unofficial stuff, and is said to be a story of a Gothic-fan who had the chance to talk to the right people at GC this year...

Yep, but Gothic World brought up this old fan-interview from kai rosenkranz on the german games convention these days as "new infos" - so it's to blame them, not rpgdot

bye, mith

Has it been posted on RPGDot before? No. Therefore, it belongs here. I don't care how old it is. GothicDot is not all about news, you know...

And, if you knew this already, then why didn't you say something...

If you were reading the german boards, you would have known too :P

But I don't think that there is so much fascinating info in this newsbit. Anybody who knows a little about Gothic and it's developers can gain this informations from their forum posts at jowood or worldofgothic and everybody wants them to do something very similar with gothic 2 but much bigger and with more details. So Gothic 3 will IMO not come up with that many surprises... hopefully ;)

bye, mith

Well, but I already told you here on October 27th... why didn't you post the news immediately?
Usually, RPGDot is pretty fast, I think, but regarding G3 it's not really actual...

You´re right, Superdropsi. This is one of the typical cases where things are first delayed and then forgotten.
