Favo char?

I was wondering what everybodys favorite guild was. Mine is The merc: A strong brute warrior who choses his own way to solve everything. even a good merc can look like he is evil. He is the perfect guild to play a chaotic good character . What are your opinions?

Paladin! I dont know why everyone likes the merces som much, i liked the paladin the most then the mage and only then the merc... i think i know why everybody most ppl likes them, its because most of them join the mercenaries first to be cool and then when playing again as something eles its less fun...
but the paladins are cooler then dragon slayers!

Mages are like professional ass-kickers. They have the most badass magic and are the most powerful. I have to admit though that Pyrokar is a stuck up git.

IMO the paladin-path is the best, nice mixture of normal weapons and magic, beautiful armour – and by the way: as a merc I‘ve had too many scruples to thrash my pals, but I did it.

hehehe templars were cool in g1 I was one but never really used magic should have joined the merc or guard back then. But I became a novice before I even knew it :d. But g1 is way to easy to play. Still it is the best second best game after g2

I don't know...
You feel closer to your lads from the past as a merc. But Paladins are damn cool. And they get better armor and weapons, most of the time for free too. I guess Paladins. Let me beat it a third time a sorceror before I really put in my two cents.

Oops. That last post wasnt meant to be here. It was meant for another guy who was messing with me about my sig. (LSD and the Twang noise don't mix with some people... Who knew)
Oh, and I havn't played the game through three times as a mage. I get weird and say things that don't make sense. I meant, once I play through Gothic II three times, I'll have to play as a mage so I can experience the game from ever angle before I vote. Not that I've played the game in every guild and mage three times. I do have other things in my life besides Gothic II. Like drugs, music... And Gothic III speculation... AND TRYING TO TRACK DOWN GOTHC I! (wow, my life is wasting away before my eyes) That has to be the hardest to find game ever since I don't order off the Internet. Any idea where I can get G1 offline? (Off topic)
