Never played the first, and after playing morrowind i doubt anything'll please me, as it'll be poor in comparison. Anyhow, i dont see what all the 'fuzz' is about. Maybe if i read some reviews i'll get interested, but until then.. _________________

Actually, I found Morrowind to be a big disapointment after playing Gothic. My expectation was that MW would be the superior game, but it wasn't in most respects. Early reports indicate that G2 will be better still.
Note: Reviews weren't always fair for Gothic1, dinging it for the controls, which weren't really that bad. _________________ "You two are a regular ol' Three Musketeers." |

Hmm, I think of Morrowind as a superior game to Gothic, and I am one of those lads who always raves about, but Gothic 2 appears to be just as good to me. I can understand why Morrowind fans would want to slag back all the Gothic fans who condemn Morrowind, but to be honest you will be missing out on a great game. I am just thankfull that both Morrowind and Gothic 2 are available, when a few years ago I despaired about the state of RPGs. This has been an amazing year for RPGs, and most of them I will be playing for years to come. |

Ok Gothic 1 and Morrowind were different styles I put this like this: Gothic 1 the best 3rd person RPG and Morrowind the best First person RPG. I Like both but if you ask me which I like the most I got to say Gothic cause it has the feeling that you need. And all RPG fans need Gothic 2 in their collection. _________________ "Whow, the necromancer is here" -Bartacus to myself |

I'm getting Gothic 2 at least I hope I asked it form my brithday (3 yan).
The big difference is that Gothic is devoloped by a gamestudio with not much experiance, but Morrowind is devoloped by a 'elite' gamestudio
that's what I think _________________ Gothic Credits

Hmmm, Gish, I may have to totally disown you - are you SURE you are from SC? I am not sure I want to claim a fellow South Carolinian who doesn't want Gothic 2 . As far as I am concerned, Gothic 1 was the brightest spot in the CRPG collection for quite a while (and that includes the much vaulted NWN and MW). _________________ When everything else in life seems to fail you - buy a vowel. |
