Anon: I do have wizards and warriors, but it's the usual case of buggy bug bug. I've rearely get to play it without it crashing for one reason or another. I do still play it occasionally as i've found that it seems to work better on my laptop (sis 64mb 3d chipset in it) than it did on my desktop PC and due to upgrading the laptop to XP, i've just started it again (After fixing the compressed town mask problems which cause it not to work on XP) and it does seem a lot more stable on XP than it did on 98.

I think Ultima 7. I still remember to pull up a stone in the middle of nowhere, and find Ħa ring of invisibility!
But Baldur's are good too.
And the best story i've seen in a rpg (or pseudo-rpg) is in Anachronox.

I'm sorta still playing Anachronox, DS has distracted me from it. It hasn't really captured my interest, although it has had a few really cool moments. I'm beginning to realize that I prefer medieval CRPGs.

Hmm, i think Arcanum is better than Baldur's Gate 1+2 becouse I think its more "strategy" in the fights in Baldur's Gate 1+2 and i also think they are harder, but that IS just my opinion.

I think there are more spells and ways to counter them in Baldurs Gate 1+2 and there
are definetly more weapons. Also, having direct control over your npc's allowed for way more stategy. I thought Arcanum was a great game but I wish they allowed you to have control over the npc's and also to have the option of real time combat.

Yup, you can play Arcanum in turn based or real time combat. I always did the hard fights in turn based, it was too fast in real time.

Umm... there is MUCH more weapons in Arcanum, and to not be able to controle your followers is great! Its giving a much deeper feeling, when they act, talk and do stuffs on thier own... i want a RPG game, not a strategy game.
