Just started chapter two. I was walking around and found this guy standing in a weird patio? He had just stolen something from the Swamp Camp. I relieved him of it them kept walking. I found this Tower high on a mountain directly above some wrecked ships. I am inside the tower slashing skeletons. I went to the basement of the tower, still slashing, when I see this character named Fog Tower Mage. I don't know who this is, and I really don't have any reason that I know of to be in the tower. Is this some future quest? Should I leave now, or just keep slashing. The mage character appeared to be rather difficult to kill

It's a side quest.
Hack the mage down and get the book from his corpse. Then all I can say is happy hunting
