| Relief for Lares (Spoilers inside) |
|
I talked to Lares, asked him to help me with ornament, then he gave me his ring, then i talked to the appropriate merchant (cant remember his name) and he said he'd find someone to replace Lares. Then i talked to Lares again but there was no option different than before and the quest is still on.
please just answer if this is normal and i'm missing sth, or if it isnt  |

Normally you should get a new option when talking to Lares so you can tell him that Baltram will cover for him. That this didn't happen is odd.
You may need to wait a bit (run a few other errands in the city) and then check back with Lares later. If that doesn't work, then I'm at a loss.
Also check with Baltram again, to be sure you've completed all the dialogs related to this.

thanks i'll just try a few other quests and see what happens...!
but now that i remember i did get that new option on Lares, told him that Baltram would send someone to cover him and then nothing happened. Lares doesnt offer to help with going in the woods. And the quest is still on... |

Oh, OK, if you did tell him that Baltram will cover for him, then you should be good to go. Just hit the option to have him lead you to someplace. He'll take you now. Don't worry about the quest log on this -- sometimes the handling of that is a bit funky.
BTW, don't ask Lares to take you to Lee until he's taken you to the water mages first, or that option will disappear -- seems to be a bug.

must be a bug...i had to go alone to get the ornament because he didnt have the option to take me to some place... |

OK, as long as you got there it should be fine. You don't need him to take you anywhere to satisfy the quests. The only problem may be that if you gave him the piece of ornament from Vatras you will need to get it back from him. If the option for him to take you to the Water Mages is gone, then you may need to cheat (use Marvin mode) to get the piece of ornament back from him. If you need that, let me know.
