| Gothic crashes over and over ?!?!?! |

Proparbly a know problem, but still. When ever an animal for example a wolf jumps at me the game crashes or a bloodfly comes to close to "the camera". And it has happend on several other occactions (none in specific).
I have the 108k Patch, running an English verison of the game.
Is there anyway to solve this? or do I just put Gothic away and wait for the sequal?
Edit: Been awhile since I have last been on the forum, so please move this Thread to the Troublwshooting section.

Set the sound to DirectSound HW, disable reverb and reboot your machine. Screen resolution shouldn´t be higher than 1024*768*32.

Yep, and after you've played Gothic a few times (as each guild each time), order Gothic 2. You can order the English version of Gothic 2 several ways. I would suggest ordering it online from GoGamers.com
