Is it possible to speed up Saving/Loading time? Especially loading, it is SO SLOW on my PC. Reminds me about Fallout 2 before the final patch. It takes about 30-50 seconds to load the saved game.

P.S. Already defragmented my HDD.

yeah, it does take forever. Also, for the game to first turn on it does the same.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing but discovered it's not the game but more likely your system. I have a P3 450 with 384mb of pc100 and it is pretty slow at loading and saving. But I installed and ran it at my friends house who is running a P3 1.0 ghz with 256mb ram pc133. It takes less than half the time to load and save.

It also depends on where (in the game)
you save or load...

Loading in the "main land" takes
much longer than when you load in a smaller
"seperate area" (mines, caves)

I find that I dont die much in the main land,
but once I get into the seperate areas (orc crypt, mincrawlers)the tight spaces and ambushes cook me. So I have to save and load alot...
If the load times in these deadly places were as bad as the main land, I might not
be able to put up with the game.

Fortunately, it all works out, and Gothic still rules.
