Folks, question is not whether or not it will be released outside German speaking territories, but when.
As we reported before, JoWood's financial troubles force them to look for an int'l patner in the US, UK etc...and that name will be announced shortly (acc to JoWood)!

And if all else fails and JoWood goes bakrupt or whatever, another company will surely pick up the rights for Gothic 2...this is one of the best pieces of software ever created and will not go unseen
(BTW - it hit #1 in Germany for several straight weeks after its release...leaving Anno 1502, The Sims and other top titles behind)

I Understand all that, which is why I am trying to get people to sign the petition. But hardly anyone seems interested. Obviously there isnt as much interest for Gothic 2 as I had hoped.

Either JoWood need to see the petition to realise there is a demand for the game outside Germany.

OR

JoWood needs the petition as ammunition to convince their potential distributor that there is a demand for the game outside Germany.

I suggest you do a 'real' petition, not one which needs posts in a board.
Go either petitiononline.com or gopetition.com or any other site and we will gladly report it in the news.
BTW - I myself started a petition 2 years ago for english Gothic 1

I have looked into that and those sites look overcomplicated and confusing. And I dont know enough about them to know that they are reliable. What is there to stop people from posting over and over and over?

Tell me the benefits of doing it on that site and I might try it. I was also thiking of putting up a temp site myself and just having it automatically mail JoWood each time it hits a multiple of 50 sigs.

And here it is:

http://65.67.135.131/gothic2petition/index.php

Go sign here if you want to Gothic 2 to be release in English. We have over 50 sigs so far.
