I have to admit, I did jump a few times when in there. It just goes to show that you don't need monsters, just atmosphere.

That was not just scary, I was scared!
Heart racing. the voice I think is whats really freaky. It sounds dead, like it starts out as noise then it becomes words.
"zzz.....be careful...." then the elevator smashes down on your head.
"...look out he coming.."
The shattered rooms fade in and out to the way they used to look.
BAsically I just want to say that that chapter was brilliant. I only wish there was actually more to it. Sort of like a whole amytiville horror chapter to the game.
I hadnt seen anything quite like that in a game before. Most scary games are just zombies jumping up at you. |

There's a very similar episode in the most recent Thief game. *really* similar, IMO. Probably inspired by similar horror movies. |

Lol - this part really freaked me out, also. I nearly teared up when I saw her run across the hall in the basement. *shudder*

The bit in the kitchen was pretty neat. This pales in comparison to Shalebridge Cradle, though. I actually had to stop playing it, I was so freaked out.
