depends where your at 
i normaly finished up with about 10,20 thousand ore..
once i got up to 65 thousand but that was a bug, when i k/o'd Lee in the new camp to get his axe he had like 45 thousand ore on him.
has to be a bug  |

I have around 15000 now and LOTS (and I do mean LOTS) of stuff to sell but nobody has ore for me anymore so

Yea they seem to just run out, they fill back up with a certain amount of ore after you complete a big quest..
but once u hit about 15-20 grand they seem to all become poor.
(and full of 'crude swords' haha) |

You don't need to cheat for money, that's for sure. At first it looks like you're piss poor scum, but after a few levels and goodie gathering expeditions (picking up and selling every weapon you find, etc) you're the richest man in the game. And that's if you DON'T beat the piss out of the poor vendors and take their ore.
I went through the game with a thug, and the only ore I spent was on armors. I easily ended up with more than 30 k....

Beat up the merchants and rob them. It's easy to beat up Wolf and Sharky, and fairly easy to beat Baal Cadar once you're strong enough.
Don't bother trading when you don't have to. The robbery method allows for a MUCH better profit margin. |
