Well, there are a lot of of cheats, but I suggest (also to everybody else) not to spoil too much of the game, since this is the demo only and wait until after it has been released worldwide.
If anybody desperately needs cheats, email me at garrett@rpgdot.com, but please don't publish them afterwards...
Agreed?

Did anyone get helped?
I seem to be the only one advertising on "how to script".
Using in-game cheats don't always do the trick, and they take a little long.
If you make your Level 1000, you won't gain anything out of it. You have to manually raise your skill points, and life.
And the admin's right. Don't cheat 'too much'.
My Necromancer has the best of everything, in the demo. And it's just not fun to use him anymore. I like to use my Rogue character more.
He only has 500 life, mana, strength, dexterity, etc. With no magic, 33% Hit Rate, and no cheap-ass non-armor protection.
It's fun to use the Revenge Steel in combo with Nimrod Bow.
If the admin didn't help with scripting, or any out-of-game cheating, then email me: kevin.caitiff@sympatico.ca

I don't need any help i now have the Roter wind sword (2 handed sword) and then i just put in troll's and kill them off in 7 hits.
Once the real game comes out no cheats that for sure.
also when the game comes out will you have to start over or will it start from your last save so you have all the junk ? |

Garrett, you can edit anything you want in the game.
By re-coding it, of course.
I've been helping people from these boards edit their characters for weeks. It's really simple.
I've been fooling around with faces lately. I can't seem to be able to give my character the real Necromancer face. I keep giving him sad faces, and mad faces by accident.
In console, type in HERO EXPORT NAME.
Then Alt+Tab out of Gothic, then go into your Gothic/Saves folder. There, you'll find a file called NAME.ZEN. You can change 'name' to anything you want.
In this .ZEN file, you'll find everything about your character.
-How many of each item he has.
-How many skill points he has.
-His attitude.
-His TrueGuild, and Guild.
-His weapon accuracy, and skill levels.
And every other attribute.
If you don't know much programming, or you've never scripted before, just email me. |

Oh, and the Red Wind aka Roter Wind sword is an avg 100+ damage weapon - You should be able to kill a 1000 life Troll with it in 2 or 3 hits.
In the demo, you're not able to get your Weapon Accuracy any higher than 10%, so you have to script for it.
If you make your Accuracy 100%, then you can kill almost anything with a 2 damage weapon - So making it too high would make the game boring.
It's more fun to use a good looking weapon, than to use an ugly high damage weapon.
So raising your Accuracy to about 30% would be realistic. |

@FetishFool:
You really spoile too much of the game; Gothic is a well balanced game, not to hard to finish without cheats. I never tried that export hero thingie therefore...

I had a blast with the demo, so much fun, loved the game, however i've pretty much whiped out all of the guards and everyone possible to kill.
I need help to raise my skill points, respawn the people in the town and all the monsters(if possible), a way to bring more monsters into the game or something(i heard mention of adding trolls or something?), something along these things would be greatly appreciated
email me at watchbuchogohoot@yahoo.com if u can help me or post your email address. |

I know it's bad to cheat. But I'm talking about the Demo. Not the full version.
I've done absolutely everything in the game, without using any kind of cheats. It took me 10 days straight to defeat everyone, do most of the quests, open every chest and talk to everyone.
I saw everything, so then I started to cheat.
Now it's been over a month since I started playing the Demo, and I still play it everyday because of cheating.
It's just so much fun to make characters, that follow the storyline.
It is kind of 'spoiling' the game when I've seen and used every kind of weapon, and armor, but it's all in good fun.
I can't wait until Gothic comes to Canada.
And to the guy that wants to re-spawn everything without losing his charactor:
Just Export your character, then restart the game, then Import him again. Now everything is reset.
