| NIght of the DAMNED RAVEN |
|
Hi all, well i waited for like 2 years and i have NIght of the Raven now and i was so damned exsited, but it wont work i tried out all the damned different ways people said to do it but in the end i always get stuck at the same spot, i cant install version 2.6 
i'm going insane here, i'm a huge Gothic fan, i owen both the international version of G2 and the english version, so plzzzzzz help me out i have to play this game.

Ok like what kind of detail do u need to know?
i did the following
• Install Gothic II. Let's assume you have chosen the folder C:\Program Files\Jowood\Gothic II
• Download the files Gothic2_130_de.exe and Gothic2_130_en.bat
• Copy both Gothic2_130_de.exe and Gothic2_130_en.bat into C:\Program Files\Jowood\Gothic II
• Run Gothic2_130_en.bat and wait till it has finished.
now here it will tell me that i dont have the original CD dont know what thats all about?, so i extracted all the files and put them in manualy
• Run the add-on setup (Gothic2-Addon-Setup.exe) from the CD and install "Die Nacht des Raben".
than i tried to install Add-on Patch 2.6 but it wont recognise the damned Gothic.exe
and this is where i'm stuck
• Download the official Add-on patch 2.6 and install it.
so any ideas, on helping me out??

What is this batch file you are talking about, all you need to do is replace the .exe.
Then when you are installing raven make sure you select the correct directory. The different language versions use different directory names "gothic 2" versus gothic II". There is an option to select a directory so make sure you use it if it doesn't detect the correct loaction. |

The 2 most common problems are a wrong path or a failed CD check during installation or game start. This can have many reasons. Please close all programs you have running in the background. Everything, including virus scanner and firewall.

the thing asks for cd at:
\Gothic 2\Addon-Backup\_work\Data\Scripts\System\Menu\Menu_Opt_Controls.d

Looks to me like someones trying to install a pirated version. Reason I say this is this forum got a mention on a well know bit torrent site as a place people could come and get help.
