Where can I get a decent two-handed weapon? *Poss. Spoilers*

Right, I've been hacking my way through the game, I'm now level 16 or so, and have two-handed sword mastery.

One problem: I can't find any decent two-handed weapons.

I've got some orcish weapons, but the most powerful of them does Damage 55, and my one-handed broadsword does that much, and is much quicker. Of course, this is "on paper" damage. Do two-handed weapons do more damage "in practice"?

Either way, is there anywhere I can buy a good two-handed weapon? I'm at the part of the game where you collect the focus stones (3/5 done), do I have to wait to gain levels for vendors to offer better swords, or am I just not asking the right people?

Also, what level to I have to be convince Gar Na Toth to sell me the Heavy Templar Armour? He sold me the medium at 12th or so, but is refusing to sell me the Heavy. Do I need to reach some other kind of measurement of experience than level?

Anyway, any advice appreciated, don't spoil me too much, please! I just want to know where I can get a good two-handed weapon (better than my damage 55 orcish axe) and when I can get at that armour. Thanks in advance.

Beat up the Templars then, they will have good 2-Handed Weapons.

Hmmmm, reminds me of last nights Gothic Session...

ONe of the Tmeplars guarding the swamp for Swampsharks was being attacked and killed. Shortly after the Swampshark went back to the swamp and I got a 70dmg Light Twohander.

Wich pretty much kills everything in one or two hits at my level 8, even without training .

Hell, I even beat up Kharim with it....

The Swaamshark guardian is the one that we talk about, I think.

However, Lee's axe is about 30% better.

You cannot reach better weapons until like chapter 6 or so...

Thanks for all the help, I think a certain Templar is in a whole lot of trouble! (Wouldn't beating up Lee get ME into a whole lot of trouble? I'm a Sect guy, BTW, I don't think they'll mind too much if I beat up some Templar).

No. Sneak up to him and give him a good beat with the Orc Hammer (or if you have better weapons). Steal all he have. Dont use bow/magic or crossbow since it would kill him.

Once he "wake up" again he will tell you that it was a fair fight, and forgive you for it.

If the rest of the camp starts to attack you, then either run quickly out of the camp. They will stop attacking you within a minute if they cannot see you, then you can safely return (as long as you didnt kill anyone in public). You can also hijack a bed somewhere and sleep for awhile. Does the same trick.

Personally I beat them up, one by one, until I stealed everything in the entire camp. Hey, its their ideology that the stronger are the better, and since they are anarchs its nothing bad with it... =)

His axe requires 95 strength thou, wich you should be able to reach pretty quickly if you grab some decent strengthgiving artifacts.

Best Regards
