Those are the stats of Medium Dragon Hunter armor in standard G2, in G2+add-on, the stats are:
Weapons: 120
Ranged: 120
Fire: 75
Magic: 35

Can you not learn to make your own armour? And if not does it cost much, if anything at all, to get the dude to make it for you?

you cannot make your own armor. to make jan/bennet to create you armor doesn't cost anything, but you have to collect the materials ...and you have to buy that from them and they are not cheap .. something about 12000 gold coins medium and 20000 heavy armor ..I'm not sure...

Gorn is wearing heavy dragon hunter armor in chapter 4, and some other dragon hunters ..it looks like medium armor but it has some sort of spikes in arms
