I havent played Gothic 1 or 2 for a long long time and now I started again. The odd thing is: I have completed gothic 2 three times but I cant remember where to find a Kings Sorrel. I have looked everywhere but cant seem to find one. I dont want to use cheats.

I think it is WoG that has a map about all the herbs.....I don't have it or I would post it for you.....frankly I don't need it lol
Mos the o fht time the high value herbs are in dangerous places, but you can still get them tiwh a little effort. Uocjat is probably correct, but I am not sure......I don't think king sorel is at the circle of the sun, but you can find it at most circles or nearby.
At Lobart's farm go to the stone circle....well if you are weak just go around it to the left and avoid the young field raiders......go down into the area there and you will find your first king sorel. It is about half way down, a few feet from the cliff edge.
Just outside the gate in Khorinis to the left, you can find another easy one.(the gate that goes to the tavern etc.) I can never remember north south etc. lol
Anyway, search here or Wog, the map is available

you can find king's sorrel near the black troll(behind the monster actually, so good luck with that one  ).Also there is one piece of king sorrel in the woods.Its near the place where the woodcutter lives.Just to let you know there are two regular trolls living in in that wood, so be ready for an ugly fight!
So if you don't mind some challenge, go for it  .

Alright, I think I found some locations:
Forest behind Akil's farm, the stone circle with skeletons is rather easy to get. I only had to kill a couple of molerats and bloodflies then I didnt even have to sneak to get the sorrel.
Now I remembered that when you talk to Zuris he tells you about the Sorrel and it spawns into the stone circle behind the first farm.
There was no sorrel in the circle of the sun.

When leaving the east gate of the city going to Agils farm, you'll come across a small plateau with wolves and bloodflies. There is a cut down tree there on the opposite side from the path you'll find some King's Sorrel.

go to the light house and then turn and go up hill there youll meet a hunter go and follow the path and at the top theres king sorrel

Ah yes, I forgot the mountain. The hunters name is Niclas and I found some scrolls and a skeletong at the top. The sorrel was hidden behind a tree.

If you're trying to become the alchemists' apprentice, an extra easy-available Kings' Sorrel will appear near the Stone Circle at Lobarts Farm. This will not be there otherwise though. Also, inside Xardas' tower lies some Dragonroot and Goblin Berries(in the room across the hall when you are about to exit his tower). |

Hmmm... Maybe you never checked the tower that well after you left. Maybe they appear in Chapter 2? At least I didnt see them in chapter 1. I always checked the tower first for the +25xp books and a couple of potions and scrolls.

the herbs in the tower were added with night of the raven that why you would find them if your playing the normal GII game
