Well..i think everyone here on the forum got one sometime and in someplace..

Seriously, though, I don't see many copies of Gothic on store shelves around here.. dunno if it's a distribution problem or if ppl are buying them as fast as the stores get them in..

I don't understand it either. The game is not on the store shelves here on the West Coast (USA). I guess it's an advertising problem or non-advertising. I think the game is great myself.

I live in the northeast USA (OHIO), and I just spotted it. Bought it today 1-6-02. Looks like the kind of RPG I've been looking for. Gotta check it out....

Just came here to look for updates

I rarely shop in real stores. I generally buy on Ebay, Amazon, Ebworld, and Compuexpert. I actually bought a used copy on Ebay about 10 days after it was released in the States but before any of the fore mentioned stores actually had it in stock. I've checked recently and all of them have it in stock and got their stock about 2-3 weeks after release. So if you are over 18 and have a credit card the game is not hard to find anywhere in the U.S.

Funny thing is...I love this game so much that I feel guilty that I bought a used copy. I almost want to send these guys a check for a few bucks in appreciation of their blood, sweat, and tears. I'm counting the days until Gothic 2 appears. If Morrowind or Neverwinter Nights are as good as Gothic then I think those 2 games will be huge successes.

Thats because 2/3 the production money for Deer Hunter games goes into advertising rather than the game itself.
